    1- The major difference between the National Eligibility Test and the Symbiosis Entrance Test exam is the syllabus. As we already know, the NET examination is national-level; therefore, it is carried out at a wide level and for 81 subjects. While the Symbiosis Entrance Test examination is administered at the state level, the state determines the subjects.
    2- National Eligibility Test is organized on a broad scale, and only 5 percent of the total students appearing is estimated to clear it. The percentage of candidates clearing the Symbiosis Entrance Test is comparatively higher than NET.

    NET and SET, both the exams are conducted to determine the eligibility for college and university level lectureships and for awarding the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) to Indian nationals for pursuing their Ph.D. programme or research.
