    The basic difference between UPSC and SSC is that UPSC is conducted for group A and B level jobs, while SSC is mostly for group C and D level jobs. Some other differences are:
    1. Competition: The SSC has more competition than UPSC. For example, the number of applications for CSE was around 8 to 10 Lacs as per data of recent years, whereas for SSC the number was more than 20 Lacs. However, UPSC is more difficult than SSC due to its syllabus and unpredictability.
    2. Vacancies: SSC has a higher number of vacancies than UPSC.
