What is the difference between "university" and "college of engineering" from the point of pursuing an engineering degree?
Which one should I prefer between them?

Colleges are approved by AICTE and universities are approved by UGC. There can be many colleges affiliated to a single university or the university can be deemed too. Prefer a college or a university based on its reputation and placement record, it hardly matters what you choose a college or a university.
