    1. There's no basic difference between a university MBA and a B-school MBA.
    2. Why are they pursued?
    MBA: Master in Business Administration (MBA) is a degree course offered by the colleges affiliated to the universities. So, only universities can offer MBA programmes. PGDM:A Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is a Diploma course offered by the institutes that are recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and which are autonomous and not affiliated to any university.     PGDM is the Diploma course started by the universities. But according to some advisors, MBA is more valuable course than PGDM. It provides you the degree of Masters as well as if you want to go for higher studies it would also provide you more opportunities at the same time.
