What is the difference between UPSC and TNPSC?

Service type: The UPSC is a central recruitment body that conducts exams for all India-level services. The Tamil Nadu PSC is a state-level exam for Tamil Nadu for state services. The following is the distinction between these exams: 2. Attempt limit: There is no restriction on the number of attempts in TNPSC, whereas UPSC has age as well as attempt limits up to six attempts. 3. Post: The UPSC exam is for central posts such as IAS IPS, and IRS. The TNPSC exam is for district collectors, registrars, and assistant commissioners in Tamil Nadu. 4. Frequency: The Tamil Nadu PSC exams are conducted based on the availability of vacancies in the state at multiple levels. UPSC on the other hand, is an annual exam. 5. Nature of questions: The UPSC usually asks concept-based questions in the preliminary as well as the main stages. The Tamil Nadu PSC usually asks fact-based questions. Also, in UPSC Mains, there are nine papers, but Tamil Nadu PSC has three main papers in Group 1.
