Urban Design involves the implementation of the plan keeping in mind the aesthetic and functionality of the spaces.
The differences between Urban Planning and Urban Design are as follows:

Their work is confined to narrow spaces such as building lanes, parks or pools.
The primary focus is on the utility of the plan.

The process of urban design is usually done on a three-dimensional level.
It offers long-term solutions to unplanned or ill-planned spaces.
It offers short-term solutions to spaces lacking design elements in them.
