What is the difference between visual media and visual communication? Which is a better option?

I am a science student of PCMB combination & want to join visual media but I am confused.

Every visual media is a visual communication, while every visual communication, needs not be a visual media. More, visual media is always "createdandquot;, while visual communication needs not be so. For instance, that (in) famous Vietnam war photograph of that Vietnam girl running towards the photo
