    IISER 2023 entrance examination is considered to be one of the finest and the toughest exams under Science stream undergraduate entrance examination as it provides the BSMS dual degree in the most reputed and research-oriented institutions across the country which is IISERs. On a comparison note, candidates will find the examination tougher than JEE Main exam, but below JEE Advanced.     The exam will be a Pen-Paper based test of 3 hours duration. All the questions will be Multiple-choice questions from four subjects, namely, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics with equal weightage. A total of 60 questions, with 15 questions in each subject. 3 marks will be awarded for each correct response while, 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong response. The medium of the paper will be English and Hindi.
    Toughness level is subjective. What might be tough for you might be easier for someone else. The best way to prepare is take more and more mock tests.

IISER 2025 counselling registration process was started on June 26, 2025. The registration for the counselling is done only for the test takers who have secured an IISER 2025 AIR/Category rank. Earlier, candidates were able to fill out the IISER 2025 counselling registration form till July 3, 2025 till 5pm.

However, the exam officials have extended the IISER 2025 counselling registration deadline for the candidates to July 7, 2025, till 5 pm.

Yes, while filling out the IISER Decision Making Form, it is absolutely necessary to pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF). This fee is a crucial part of confirming your intent to accept the allotted seat, whether you choose the “Freeze” or “Float” option. Without paying the SAF, your seat will not be reserved, and you will be considered to have forfeited your claim to that allotment.
