What is the DSSSB JE job profile?

DSSSB JE job profile: 1- Manage the Workflow of the Project: Many JEs oversee various project elements and provide direct day-to-day support to the project on the field. They have to visit sites, take care of measurements, respond to the questions of the contractor on behalf of their senior authorities, like an AE or supervising engineer, and serve as links between engineers and construction personnel. Under the management of experienced engineers, JE can also develop project schedules and timelines for delivery. 2- Build Plans and Perform Calculations: JEs must build plans and perform calculations for various project elements based on project requirements. They need to draw various structural diagrams or blueprints and inspect them before submission under direct supervision. They need to revise and get the diagrams and plans approved by the seniors or supervisors. JE may also be required to do specific project-related assignments, and essential calculations and drawing estimates are given to them by their seniors in charge. 3- Reports on Construction Projects: JEs must keep track of the workings and progress of a construction project that is currently underway. They have day-to-day timelines and formulate project reports. They have to prepare budgeted estimates, drawings, and project schedules and must track that these are followed without fail. JEs must deal with delays, accidents, or natural disasters that occur on the job site and must report the details to the supervisor regularly. They must submit delivery reports and project specifications to the government or funding bodies when working on public projects or infrastructure. 4- Provide Technical Support: The most crucial role of a JE is to provide technical support to their team during construction work. They have to collaborate with their teams, provide direct or indirect support, and handle tasks efficiently. As a result, JE works strictly under the supervision of the supervising engineer. 5- Management of Team Members: The complete team must work efficiently together on site. The team of a JE comprises technicians, contractors, and other supervising engineers, or JEs complete projects on time. As a result, the coordination and collaboration among them must be finessed. The JEs make sure that their team is working according to the rules and guidelines set by the authorities. They keep their senior engineer informed about the issue related to the team and resolve them as soon as they can.
