  • Dear Parth,
The duration will be 3 years. Eligibility Criteria is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (Engg.) (any stream) 3 years after 10th or 2 yrs. after 10+2(Non-Medical) or B.Sc.(Non-Medical) or B.Sc.(Computer Science) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST.
In case marks scored in Diploma (Engineering.) or B.Sc.(Non-Medical) or B.Sc.(Computer Science) are 70% or above, then LPUNEST will be exempted and a candidate may apply for admission.
(5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defense Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrants).

At Lovely Professional University (LPU), the duration of a B.Tech program after completing a Diploma is typically 3 years, compared to the standard 4-year B.Tech program. This is because LPU allows lateral entry for diploma holders, enabling them to directly join the second year of the B.Tech course. This lateral entry system is designed to recognize the prior learning of diploma students and accelerate their path to a bachelor’s degree in engineering.

The curriculum for B.Tech lateral entry students at LPU is structured to integrate the technical knowledge they gained during their diploma with advanced engineering concepts. The f
