    Hi,
There are two type of certifications offered by maximum institutions.
    a) The 1st type is BCA and MCA as a separate course. BCA and MCA is a 3 year course.
    b) The 2nd type is integrated BCA + MCA course, this is a combined of two courses, BCA and MCA. The duration is 5 years.
I would suggest you to do separate BCA and MCA because after BCA, you have an opportunity to get admission for MCA to the IITs by working hard, or get a job after BCA.

A normal MCA course consists of 3 years, whereas a lateral entry course consists of two years. If you join MCA after then B.Sc. You must do3 year MCA course. But if you join MCA after BCA then you can join a lateral system and complete this in 2 years.
I hope this information is helpful for you.

    Hello,
BCA is a 3 year course and MCA is also a 3 year course, so basically 3+3=6 years is needed.
However, there is system in MCA, which is known as lateral entry, so with this you can directly get admission in 2nd year and duration will be only 2 years, so you can finish in 5 years. But, for this, you must have to score in Entrance Exam like CET or any.
There also another way to finish it in 5 years is dual degree program.
You can join dual degree and can complete your both the degree in 5 years without any entrance. But, you must have to finish both to eligible for your degree, otherwise you will not be awarded with any of them.

    Dear friend,
As per my knowledge and experience, if you go for BC + MC as a dual degree course, then it will be completed in 5 years and if you go for separately for BCA and MCA and will take serious as you also know that dual Degree College used to save one of the student. So, if you want to do BCA + MCA, then used for dual degree and can save your one year.
    Thank you.

The duration of BCA is 3 years and of MCA too it is also 3 years. If you pursue these two courses separately then it'll take 3+3=6 years to get your Masters degree done. If you pursue both of these courses as an integrated course then you can finish both in 5 years. If you want to get access to programs of all programming languages taught in entire 3 years of BCA course, then you can access them from https://www.technark.net/

It depends on the situation. If you go for dual degree course then it is of 5 years and if you go for separate BCA + MCA then it is of 6 years. Therefore, it is better to go for dual degree course.
