What is the duration of mechatronics engineering for lateral entry student?

If you have passed Diploma with atleast 60% marks, you are eligible for lateral entry admission to ME-Mechatronics programme. The duration will be 3 years. With programme Specific Outcomes like following Mechatronics can be ideal for you if you have requisite interest ans aptitude: 1 : Effectively build and communicate the solutions using learnings from basic mechatronic engineering, basic sciences, mathematics and computational skills and tools. 2 : Ability to design using mechanical theories to create prototypes of robots using relevant manufacturing technology. 3 : Capability of building efficient mechatronic system using basic understanding of Thermodynamics, Heat transfer and Fluid Mechanics. 4 : Demonstrate the ability to propose cost effective optimized solutions using simulated environment of robots using CAD/CAM tools.
