    The MFA course at American Film Institute is of 2 years duration. This course teaches filmmakers how to work with actors, analyze scripts, develop a unique point of view and visual design for each project, etc. This institute's Directing students are known as Directing Fellows. They direct three narrative films in their first year and a thesis film in the second year. Some of the projects of this institute's Directing alumni are The Whale, Watcher, We Were Meant to, Raymond & Ray, etc.
