There will be no change in the duration of the programme for the research scholars who are M.Phil. (Min. Duration is 3 years and Max. 6 years) as per UGC regulations. The Ph.D. at LPU emphasises off-the-shelf research to create new knowledge and explore future challenges. The researcher is expected to identify the research gaps, formulate objectives, develop methodologies for finding solutions to real-life problems.

    Hi,

The minimum duration of a Ph.D. program at Lovely Professional University (LPU) is three years from the date of initial registration. However, candidates may need up to five to six years to complete the program.

The duration of a Ph.D. programme can vary depending on several factors, including: research complexity, individual progress, and programme structure.

Here are some other details about the Ph.D. program at LPU:
    • Ph.D. scholars are required to attend mandatory coursework at the university campus.

    • Scholars must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance in coursewo
    ...more
