What is the duration of the XAT exam?

XAT exam was held for 3 hours and 30 minutes. However, with the revision of exam pattern, it was held for 180 minutes in 2025. There is sectional time-limit in the test. 170 minutes are allotted to Part 1 comprising Decision Making, Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation and Verbal Ability. Part 2 has General Knowledge section to be solved in 10 minutes. No bio-break is allowed during the exam. Candidates have to finish the test in the given time limit only. XAT is an online mode exam and the duration is 210 minutes. Earlier, the exam used to be of 180 minutes but in 2023, the time limit was increased to 210 minutes. The questions are asked in MCQ format from Decision Making, Verbal & Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation and General Knowledge.

Xavier's Aptitude Test exam is held for 3 hours and 30 minutes. There is a sectional time limit for the test. 175 minutes are allotted to Part 1 comprising Decision Making, Quantitative Aptitude (QA) & Data Interpretation, and Verbal Ability. Part 2 which is a session of mock keyboard testing is of 5 minutes and 30 minutes are allotted to Part 3 General Knowledge and Essay Writing sections.
