    Hi
    The jobs for immigration officers in india are under ministry of external affairs. The two paths for it are:
    1. UPSC: Clear the exam ( C-Sat, Paper-II, & finally Interview, this is totally 1 year process) with 1st 10-15 Ranks, then you can get into Indian Foreign Services, as Grade -A officer in Ministry of External Affairs.
    2. SSC (Staff Selection Commission): This is for the assistant grade officers/ Grade - B officers.
    Please do not confuse it with SSC for State cadre. Those are different and very specific to the requirement of States in the Union of India.
