Hi Avneet,
In most of the Universities the eligibility to do PhD in economics is that the candidate needs to have an M.Phil from a recognized University with 55% -60% aggregate marks.

Master's with 55% marks and MPhil with FGPA of at least 6.0 (high second class) in Economics or related disciplines in Development Studies.
