What is the eligibility criteria and fees for B.Tech ( CSE) in LPU?

Dear Student, I have checked the website of LPU and based on the website, you should have a minimum of 60% marks in the 12th class with mandatory subjects Physics Maths and English . Moreover, you have to qualify for the LPU NEST exam to fulfil the eligibility criteria. Fee Structure: 120000 per semester (without scholarship) but you can get a scholarship up to 30% depending upon your performance in LPU NEST or your academic percentage. Being Alumni of LPU, I would like to answer this question. At LPU, Admission in any programme depends on qualifying the Eligibility criteria for that programme. So, as per the official website of LPU, the Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) is defined as - Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics Mathematics and English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. LPU NEST is National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in Lovely Professional University. This test forms the basis of Eligibility and Scholarship for most of the programmes and for some of the programmes test is applicable only for scholarship. LPU NEST serves both the purposes. Also, if you have qualified LPU NEST for Eligibility purpose, you can also improve your score for Scholarship purpose as well. For qualifying the LPU NEST for Eligibility purpose, around 40% marks are required but for Scholarship purpose, cut-offs are required to be qualified for LPU NEST. So, qualifying the same, you can proceed for Admissions. Admissions in LPU have started for most of the programmes. LPU is currently inviting applications for B.Tech in various streams, so you can apply from their website. In order to apply for the Exam, you can refer the following steps : 1 Register yourself on the portal 2. Fill the details 3. Choose the programme 4. Apply for LPUNEST 5. Make the payment for LPU NEST and Book the slot for the Exam I. e date and time for the exam as per your availability. 6. Appear and Qualify the LPU NEST and wait for Result 7. Participate in Online Counselling and Seat Allotment Process if applicable 8. After the seat allotment, proceed for Admissions. You can register yourself on the portal at this link - admission. Lpu. In The applicable fees for the programme depend on the Scholarships if any is applicable. Scholarship will generally be awarded on the basis of previous performance in academics, cultural, sports or other activities or under specific scholarship schemes category for a particular section of students. CSE dept. Of LPU is having the highest number of students under a single dept. Being an alumni of LPU I had many friends from CSE and I used to SEE them wearing formal dress almost every day because their placement drives would happen every day in their final year. Most of the students get offers in their third year itself. The placement record of CSE from LPU is phenomenal. Every year LPU breaks its own record in terms of placements. Many giants like Amazon, Interviewbit have offered packages of around 26LPA to LPU students from CSE. VMWARE, Jugnoo, Pegasystems have offered packages of 9LPA to students, many other companies like Wipro, Capgemini, Bosch have offered packages of 6 LPA and the list is endless. The CSE dept. Of LPU has various tie-ups with Google, Pega, VMWARE, AUTOMATION ANYWHERE, INFORMATICA, COMPUTING TECHNOLOGY INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION (CompTIA). The university has sate of the art labs with the latest software to provide hands on practical exposure to students. As of now the eligibility for B.Tech CSE is:- Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics Mathematics and English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defense Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants) Fee Structure: 120000 per semester (without scholarship) but you can get scholarship up to 30% depending up on your performance in LPU NEST or your academic percentage.
