For Jadavpur University MCA admission, aspirants should have a valid three-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a UGC recognised institute/university with at least 60% aggregate (45% for SC/ST). The accepted UG courses are BSc in Computer Science, BSc (Hons) others, BA/BCom (Hons), BSc/BA/BCom - General, and BCA. It is also necessary that the candidate studied Mathematics at the UG level.
Further, candidates must hold the relevant documents as proof of eligibility during form filling and admission confirmation. Applications of the candidate who do not meet the minimum eligibility criteria is treated as invalid.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) conducts the WBJECA every year for admission to the colleges of West Bengal.
