Instead of that candidates can also have a D.Voc degree in the same or allied sector with 4 years duration.</p><p>B.Tech (Civil Engineering) Lateral Entry: Candidates who have B.Sc degree or Diploma (3 years) in the concerned stream with at least 45 percent marks (40 percent for SC/ST) are eligible. The course takes 3 years to complete.</p>

<p>I.K. Gujral University - Mohali Campus II offers two kinds of B.Tech degrees. First is, B.Tech in Civil Engineering for which the eligibility criteria is that the student must have passed 10+2 examination with Science related field (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, CS etc.) or passed D.Voc stream in the same or allied sector. This degree is for 4 years.&nbsp;</p><p>Secondly, they offer B.Tech (Civil Engineering) Lateral Entry for which the eligibility criteria is Passes B.Sc degree from a recognised university with atleast 45% marks for general category and 40% marks for candidates belonging to reserved categores. Students who have passed minimum 3 years/done lateral entry Diploma with atleast 45% marks (for general) and 40% marks ( for reserved categories) or passed B.Voc/ D.Voc 3 year degree in same or allied sector. The duration of this degree is 3years. The College works on semester system for both the programmes.</p>
