What is the eligibility criteria for B.A (H) course at Pondicherry University?

<p>Candidates who are willing to enroll into the PU BA programme must qualify for the basic eligibility criteria. Moreover, the eligibility criteria vary depending on the choice of specialisation. Candidates can check the below list to know the course-wise eligibility criteria:</p><ul><li><strong>English: </strong>Pass in Class 12 from any recognised board and must have studied the Hons seeking subject at the Class 12 level</li><li><strong>Sociology/History:</strong> Senior Secondary School Leaving Certificate or Higher Secondary Certificate obtained after successful completion of Grade 12 or equivalent stage of education corresponding to Level-4 (Levels in NHEQF)</li><li><strong>Philosophy/Political Science/Media &amp; Communication: </strong>Passed Class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate</li><li><strong>French:</strong> Translation &amp; Interpretation: Passed Class 12 with French as a second language at the Higher Secondary level (or its equivalent in other boards). In case the student has not studied French as a second language at the Higher Secondary Level, the student should either have studied French from Class six to Cass 10 at the school level or have passed the A1 DELF examination conducted by CIEP, Paris.</li></ul>
