Their grades in these disciplines should have been at least 50% (45% for reserved categories). The basis for admission is the results of state-level or national entrance tests, such as JEE Main or TNEA. Applying for lateral entrance into the second year is possible for Diploma holders in appropriate engineering programs. For admission to engineering programs, candidates must also fulfill the requirements set forth by the Tamil Nadu state government.</p>
