<p>To be eligible for BTech at Guwahati University, candidates must have the following:</p><ul type="disc"><li>They must be a citizen of India</li><li>The age of the candidates must be between 17-21 years. There is a relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit available for SC/ST candidates.</li><li>Must have passed Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate with PCM and English as subjects (45% for SC and 40% for ST)</li></ul><p>In addition to the regular four-year BTech, the university also offers direct admission to the second year of BTech via lateral entry. For this option, students must meet the below eligibility criteria:</p><ul><li>3-year Polytechnic Diploma or equivalent/ BSc in relevant branch</li><li>Those with a BSc degree must have Mathematics at Class 12 level</li></ul>
