The eligibility criteria for B.Tech admission at LPU is passing 10+2 or equivalent with at least 60% aggregate marks. Candidates must have studied Physics, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science for some specializations. Admission is based on the LPUNEST entrance exam or national-level exams like JEE Main or CUET. LPU accepts a variety of entrance exams depending on the programme. The primary one is LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test) for most UG & PG programmes.

For engineering (B.Tech), LPU also accepts JEE Main scores.

For programs like design, architecture, etc., exams like UCEED or UCEED / Design entrance are accepted.

Also for undergraduate admissions generally,  CUET‑UG is now being accepted for many courses.
