Candidates seeking admission to the BS programme must meet the IISER Berhampur BSc eligibility criteria. Candidates who have passed the Class 12 examination with Science stream with marks equal or above the cut off percentage in their respective boards are eligible to apply for admission. The following is the Cutoffs marks for different category candidates:
- For the OBC-NCL and PwD category candidates, there is a 5% relaxation
- The cut-off percentage for the SC, ST and Kashmiri Migrants candidates is 55%
- Students applying through SCB channel will have to appear in the IISER Aptitude Test

You must fulfill the following requirements in order to be considered for IISER Berhampur's BSc program:
Academic Background:
Higher Secondary Certificate (10+2) or a comparable program: passed the Science stream (physics, chemistry, math, and biology) at an accredited board of education with a minimum cumulative score of 75% for candidates in the general, EWS, OBC, and NCL categories.
65% for applicants in the SC, ST, and PwD categories.
Requirements for each individual subject: Physics and mathematics at least 60%.
At least 50% in Biology and Chemistry.
