Yes, all the exam needs a minimum % in class 12th (varies from 60 to 95 %). All engineering entrance exams need a minimum class 12th score. In addition, government jobs' entrance exams also need class 12th minimum score. By the way, you cannot give JEE by taking commerce in class 12 because it needs PCM. You can give exams like CAT, UPSC, etc.

Dear Sakti,
Exams like JEE and CAT are the entrance exams for specific courses after 12th standard to enroll into engineering, medical or any other field. CAT is an entrance exam conducted for Masters Degree. UPSC is a Public Service exams for public services like IAS, IPS and others. For UPSC, you will need to have an Under Graduation degree in any specialisation to enroll. Therefore, each entrance exam has its own eligibility criteria and varies from each combination to the other.

However, that decimal point too can make or mar admission chances. CAT cut offs for IIM admission 2026 batch will not change. They will remain high between 92-100 percentile. Top 6 IIM cut offs will be between 98-100, while the cut offs for rest of them will be between 92-97.
