What is the eligibility criteria for JEE Mains?

Hi,
1) The latest press release by MHRD mentioned that performance of 12th class will be required only for eligibility for admission in IIT, NIT and similar institutes.
2) For the candidates to qualify in the JEE Examination, they shall have secured
At least 75% marks or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by respective boards. For SC/ST students this condition shall be relaxed to 65% marks. 12thboards marks will not be given 40% weightage in 2017 for calculation of ranks as in the selection criteria for admission in an IIT for 2016.

Eligibility criteria of JEE Main 2018, candidates will be considered eligible to appear for the exam on the basis of the parameters mentioned below:
Date of birth of the applicant
Qualifying exam
Subjects in the qualifying exam
Marks obtained in the qualifying exam
Number of attempts in the qualifying exam

The eligibility is that you must have Science in your 10+2 standard from any recognized board and must have secured 75% in the boards exam. -
