Gauhati University LLM course admission requires eligibility criteria and a valid score in the University-level entrance exam. The eligibility criteria for LLM are as follows:
- A pass in any Law-related UG degree, such as BA LLB, BALLB (Hons), BBA LLB, BBA LLB (Hons), BCom LLB, BCom LLB (Hons), LLB, or LLB (Hons).
Candidates in the final year of the above-mentioned course are also eligible to apply. Candidates seeking admission to the LLM programme at GU must apply online on the official website of the University. Applications in any other mode are not accepted at GU.

The eligibility criteria for admission to the LLM course at Gauhati University is candidates must complete graduation in Law with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from Gauhati University or any other university or institution recognised by Gauhati University. Additionally, a relaxation of 5% of marks shall be given to SC, ST, OBC and MOBC candidates who are permanent residents of Assam.
After fulfilling the primary eligibility criteria, candidates must appear for the university-based entrance. This test is conducted in offline mode. -
