The eligibility criteria for M.Sc at Amrita School of Biotechnology is as follows:
Age limit: your age should not more than 32 years of age as on July 1, 2022.
Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST candidates as per government norms.Education qualifications- Graduation in any discipline of Science including Mathematics, Engineering or Medicine. Background in Biology is preferred for Biotechnology & Microbiology programs whereas a background in Mathematics or Computer Science is preferred for the bioinformatics program.

1. Bachelor's degree: Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in any branch of Science (Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science) or Engineering/Technology with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) from a recognised university.
2. Entrance exam: Candidates should have a valid score in one of the following entrance exams:
- Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main Paper 1
- National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)
- Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)
