The candidate should have an undergradute degree with 50% aggregate. Candidate securing rank in PGET which is conducted by Maulana Abul Kalam University of Technology, West Bengal are eligible for admission in M.Tech courses through counselling conducted by MAKAUT, WB. Candidates qualifying GATE examination are also eligible to undergo two years postgraduate M.Tech in RCCIIT, Kolkata. GATE scorers are entitled to obtain GATE scholarships.
