    The eligibility criteria for an MA at Central University of Orissa (CUO) in 2023-24 is as follows:

    • A candidate must have passed the Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in the relevant subject from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for reserved category candidates).
    • A candidate who has passed the Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for reserved category candidates) is also eligible to apply for MA in the following subjects:
      • Economics
      • English
      • History
      • Mathematics
      • Philosophy
      • Political Science
      • Psychology
      • Sociology

    The Central University of Orissa offers a Master of Arts (MA) programme in Oriya and English. The eligibility criteria for these programs are as follows 

    1. For MA in Oriya: A candidate must have a graduate degree with Oriya (Hons.) or Oriya as a subject at the graduation level with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate for General and OBC category students and 40% marks in aggregate for SC, ST & PH candidates.
