SMAT stands for "Selective Medical Admissions Test. " To be eligible to take the SMAT you typically need to meet the following criteria:
Must be a high school senior or recent graduate
Meet minimum GPA requirements (varies by school)
Meet minimum test score requirements on the SAT or ACT (varies by school)
Meet any other prerequisites required by the school you are applying to (e. g. volunteer hours, extracurricular activities)
Note: Eligibility criteria for SMAT may vary by medical school, so it is best to check with the specific school you are interested in for their specific requirements.
