The eligibility criteria for the WBJEE exam:
A minimum score is required to appear for WBJEE exam. Students who have cleared 10+2 with 45% in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and other major subjects.
General category candidates should have scored an aggregate of 45% in the three compulsory subjects in the 10+2th (or equivalent) examination. As per WBJEE qualifying marks, reserved category candidates should have secured an aggregate of 40%. Should have also qualified in English with minimum.

Nationality: The applicants must be Indian citizens. Age: Applicant must be at least 17 years of age (as of 31 December 2023) to appear for the exam or be born on or before 31 December 2007. There is no maximum age limit for appearing in the exam. However, for admission to the Marine Engineering Course, the min age limit is 17 years as of 31 December 2023, and the maximum age limit is 25 years as of 31 December 2023. The eligibility criteria for the WBJEE exam, candidates should have qualified 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board and council with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology as compulsory subjects with at least 60% (50% for reserved category students) aggregate marks.
