JEE Joint Entrance Examination is a national-level engineering entrance exam conducted in India for admission to various undergraduate engineering programs. The eligibility criteria for JEE include Age Limit General category candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1998. SC, ST, PwD category candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1993. Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 12 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject. Candidates must have obtained at least 75 percent marks 65 percent for SC, ST, PwD category candidates in aggregate in these subjects. Year of Appearance in Qualifying Examination Candidates must have appeared for the qualifying examination 12th or equivalent in the year 2021 or 2022. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in 2023 are also eligible to apply for JEE Main 2023. Number of Attempts Candidates can appear for JEE Main a maximum of three times consecutively in three consecutive years. Note The eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced the second phase of the JEE exam may vary from the above-mentioned criteria for JEE Main.
