    To be eligible for GATE, candidates must meet the following criteria:

    1. Age limit: There is no age limit for GATE.
    2. Educational qualification: Candidates must have completed their Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology or Master's degree in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Computer Applications/Statistics from a recognised University.
    3. Minimum marks: Candidates must have secured at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD) in their qualifying degree.
    4. Eligibility for paper: Candidates must have studied the required subjects in their qualifying degree, as specified in the GATE paper they are applying for.

    Hi Nandana, GATE is an online national level examination conducted by IITs for admissions to post-graduate programs like M.E. /M.Tech and direct Ph.D. offered by higher education institutes across India. If u have done studies related to this domain you are off course eligible for it & it has no limit to give any no. Of times. No, a duplicate GATE 2026 admit card will not be provided at the test center. Candidates must carry their own admit card along with the mentioned documents and items to the GATE exam center. IIT Guwahati will release the GATE admit card on January 2.
