What is the eligibility criteria to appear for CDS exam?

Hi Sarang, Educational qualification: Indian Military Academy/Officers' Training Academy: The candidates must possess a degree from a recognised university or equivalent. Indian Naval Academy: The candidates must possess a Bachelor of Engineering degree. Air Force Academy: The candidates must possess a degree of a recognised university with Physics and Mathematics at Class 12 level or Bachelor of Engineering. Graduates with first choice as Army/Navy/Air Force are required to submit a proof of graduation provisional certificates on the date of commencement of the SSB interview at the SSB. For CDS exam, applicants can be from any stream but for entry to Air Force and Navy, candidates should have studied Physics and Maths up to Class 12. Candidates who are studying in the final year degree course and are yet to pass the final year degree examination can also apply but they will be required to subject a proof of passing the degree examination. <p>Candidates in the final year of their graduation can also apply provided they do not have any backlog at the application. Also, they have to submit proof of passing the degree examination at the time of commencement of course. The minimum age required is 19 years. The maximum age allowed is 24 for IMA and INA, 23 for AFA, and 25 for OTA Aspirants must have completed their graduation to be eligible for CDS exam 2025. Indian and candidates who have settled in India permanently also can apply for CDS. Yes, final year graduate candidates can apply for CDS. However, they will be admitted to the exam provisionally. They need to produce certificates of having passed the relevant degree at the time of document verification.</p>

According to CDS eligibility criteria 2020, candidates applying for the exam must be 20 to 24 years. Candidates who have passed graduation or appearing for their final year are eligible to apply for CDS exam provided they submit a relevant certificate of passing the examination at the time of commencement of course.
