    UGC conducts CSIR NET/JRF in sciences and engineering subjects. It is also to be noted that the minimum qualification to appear in a particular subject is post-graduation in that subject.

    Eligibility Criteria for NET:
    Candidates who have completed their Master's degree with any discipline of a reputed institution or equivalent qualification and candidate who have secured at least 55% aggregate marks in Master's degree and 50% aggregate marks for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes, Physically Handicapped, Visually Handicapped. Candidates who have appeared or candidate who are appearing in the final year of Master's degree course and whose result is still awaited may also eligible to apply for the NET examination. Candidate's age should not be more than 28 years for Junior Research fellowship and upper age limits are applica
