What is the eligibility criteria to get a job in Kendriya Vidyalaya?

For PRT, eligibility is: You need have 50% in intermediate and passed CTET exam and should be below 30 years. For TGT: Bachelors degree with minimum 50% and should be below 35 years.

Teacher’s job is always a respectable job and becoming a teacher is the most responsible work as you have a duty to shape the new generation of India. So, if you aspire to be taught in the KV doors are opened for you. KV comes under Ministry of HRD. It is mostly who want to make their careers as teacher seeks the job in KV because of the high salaries of teachers as compared to other schools and due to other facilities. If you want to be a teacher in KV you have to crack their written examination, and then you called for interview, and if you pass your interview you are recruited in KV. It depends what subject you want to teach. For example, if you want to be a Maths teacher, you have to do minimum B.Sc. To get recruited in KV, as a (TGT) who will teach the students up to class 10th, and if you are M.Sc, you would be employed as (PGT) in KV, who will teach class 11th and class 12th. So, in simple words, if you want to teach up to class 10th Bachelor’s degree is required, and if you want to teach class 11th and class 12th, you will require a Master’s degree. Every year, KV recruits teacher according to their requirements, and it is very unique experience for anyone to teach students in KV, because you go through various kind of students and various kind of ideas as you are posted throughout India. You get the chance to visit all over India whereas you make new friends and meet different kind of peoples with different ideologies. So it is always a great feeling to be a teacher of KV.
