Only male candidates between the age of 16.5 to 19.5 years passed or appearing in class 12th are eligible to enrol for NDA exam conducted by UPSC. Moreover, you should have minimum 60% in class 12 to apply for it, also if you want to apply for AIR FORCE, then you need PCM in +2. -

The minimum qualification required for Indian Army wing, Navy and Air Force is as follows.
Eligibility for Indian Army:
*The candidates want to apply for Indian Army must have completed 12th (10+2 pattern) or its equivalent exam from a well-recognized board.
*The appearing candidates can also apply.
Eligibility for Indian Navy and Air Force:
*Those seeking for Indian Navy and Air Force must have passed their 12th/appearing (10+2 pattern) from a recognized board or University with Physics and Mathematics as a compulsory subject. -

NDA Exam Eligibility:
1. For Army Wing of NDA
Candidate must be 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University
2. For Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA and for 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course at Naval Academy
Candidates appearing for National Defence Academy Examination must be 12th Class pass I.e. the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University
