    Firstly, you should be appearing class 12th or passed from a recognised board. Other than this, depending on category, the age limit is a part of the criteria. The stream (maths, bio or commerce, arts) does't matter. The classes generally start in the month of July.

    Hi Piyali!
    In order to apply for the NIFT Entrance Exam you should have cleared your 10+2 from a recognised board of school like CBSE, ICSE or equivalent. Candidates will be considered eligible to apply for NIFT Entrance Test if they are 23 years of age or below as on October 1, 2017.     The classes generally begin in the month of July every year.
