What is the eligibility criteria to get admission in NITs? Can student with less then 70% get admission in NIT through JEE Mains?

Kindly provide details about OBC and general category candidates who have done their 12th from CBSE board.

You have to take JEE Mains exam. If you qualify JEE Mains with good marks then can easily get admission in an NIT. Yes, student with less then 70 percent marks can take admission in NIT through JEE Mains but you have to score more if you want to get admission in a good NIT.

Mam but according to a recent notice by director of IITs only students in the top 20 percentile or having secured 75% or more can only take admission in the NIT or IIIT? Is it true?
