To be eligible for direct admission to the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) course at Banaras Hindu University, a candidate must:
- Be at least 17 years old and not more than 25 years old on or before December 31 of the admission year, with a relaxation of the maximum age by five years for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, or Other Backward Class candidates.
- Have passed the qualifying examination with subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, and English, obtaining 50% marks in aggregate.
