    He should be a Bachelor's degree holder in any discipline from an acknowledged university. Such candidates can be admitted normally with marks of 45-50 percent and above. Background requirements cannot be specified to have originated from a library science background; rather it is available to students from other disciplines also. In many colleges, selection is made with an entrance test or interview. Others adopt reservation policies for different categories, such as SC/ST/OBC, as provided by the government.
