What is the eligibility criteria to get the F-1 student visa?
Till you get the acceptance letter from a college, you need the following, good SAT score, good TOEFL score, signed and sealed school transcript, A portfolio ( if you choose designing field). After you submit the required documents to the college (if accepted) you will get the sevis form.

Hi Shreya,
As you already mentioned you must be accepted by the university after which you need to pay the SEVIS fee following which they will send you the I-20. Complete your F-1 visa application form and schedule the interview. Apart from the academic requirements you must justify your intent to depart the United States upon course completion and show how you will pay all educational, living and travel costs. I will suggest you to check US Department of State website for further information.
