Usually admissions to most of the engineering colleges are through entrance examinations. The eligibility for the same is mentioned below.
For admission in a bachelor's degree, the candidate must have passed the higher secondary school certificate (10+2) examination with science subject

For admission in engineering you need to be 12th with PCM and Maths. Many institutions like IITs, NITs, IIITs etc offer admission just on the basis of tests like JEE and some like LPU, SRM, SMU etc offer you admissions on the basis of JEE as well as their own tests. They also offer direct admission
