What is the eligibility criteria to pursue Master of Fine Arts (Painting) course?

Hi Nami, You may surely pursue an MFA in Painting. Most of the Institutes or Universities in India offering an MFA degree, requires you to have graduated in Fine Arts- BFA. However, you may check with a couple of these Universities offering the MFA program for graduates in any discipline. 1. Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj - Nagpur University. 2. Sarojini Naidu School of Performing Arts, Fine Arts and Communication - Hyderabad University. 3. College of Arts and Craft – Chennai. 4. Delhi University. 5. Amrita School of Arts and Science – Kochi. 6. University of Mumbai. 7. National Museum Institute of History of Art. 8. IIT Kanpur. 9. Amity School of Fine Arts. 10. Department of Fine Arts and Art Education. However, before enrolling for the course do check the: a. Infrastructure. b. Faculty. c. Placements and Recognition of the Institute and d. Contents of the Course from the alumni or by the University itself. You may also pursue a Government Diploma in Drawing and Painting, or clear an examination of any other body recognized as equivalent thereto for being eligible for admission to the MFA degree by research in the branch of Painting.
