What is the eligibility criteria to pursue MS from US? Is it mandatory to give GRE?

I have done B.Sc Computer Science. I wish to pursue MS in Computer Science.

GRE is mandatory except for a few univ like IOWA univ. you also need toefl. it is costly though.
