To seek direct admission for the B.A. (Hons.) in English course at Banaras Hindu University, the eligibility criteria are:
- The applicant must have successfully completed or be appearing in the Senior Secondary School (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized University of India or outside.
- The applicant must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in the qualifying examination for General category, 45% for OBCs, and 40% for SCs and STs.
- The applicant should not be more than 22 years old as of 1st July 2025.
- The applicant must have passed in each of the concerned subjects in the qualifying examination.
