Nursing course at Madurai Medical College, College of Nursing, candidates must meet the following criteria:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Age Limit: </p> <ul> <li>Candidates must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2024.</li> <li>The upper age limit for candidates belonging to OC, BC, BCM, and MBC/DNC categories is 30 years as on 31st December 2024.</li> <li>For candidates belonging to SC, SCA, and ST categories, the upper age limit is 35 years as on the same date.</li> </ul> </li> <li> <p>Educational Qualifications: </p> <ul> <li>Candidates must have passed all subjects in the qualifying examination of the Higher Secondary Course conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board or any other recognised equivalent board.</li> <li>They must have studied English as one of the subjects, along with either (a) Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, or (b) Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology.</li> <li>Candidates belonging to the OC category must have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in the specified subjects.</li> <li>Those from BC, BCM, MBC &amp; DNC categories must have obtained at least 40% aggregate marks.</li> <li>Candidates from SC, SCA, and ST categories must also have secured a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.</li> </ul> </li> <li> <p>Nativity and Community Certificate: </p> <ul> <li>The candidate must be an Indian citizen and a native of Tamil Nadu to claim nativity.</li> <li>Those claiming nativity of Tamil Nadu must submit a valid Nativity Certificate issued by the competent Revenue Authority of the Government of Tamil Nadu.</li> <li>Candidates who are natives of Tamil Nadu but have studied partially or entirely outside the state from 6th to 12th standard must upload their Nativity Certificate, their own Community Certificate, and the Community Certificate of a parent or guardian from Tamil Nadu to claim communal reservation.</li> </ul> </li> <li> <p>Application Process: </p> <ul> <li>Candidates must log in to the official websites to access and submit the online application.</li> <li>The application fee is Rs. 500/- and must be paid through the designated bank portal.</li> <li>Candidates are required to fill in all mandatory fields accurately and upload the necessary certificates as specified.</li> </ul> </li> <li> <p>Counselling Procedure: </p> <ul> <li>The schedule for online counselling will be published exclusively on the official websites.</li> <li>Candidates are required to lock their choices of colleges and courses within the specified timeframe.</li> <li>Admission to Paramedical Degree courses will be conducted through online counselling based on merit and in accordance with the rule of reservation.</li> <li>Counselling for Special Categories, such as Ex-Servicemen and Persons with Disabilities, will be conducted prior to the General Category counselling.</li> </ul> </li> </ol>
