The eligibility criteria for direct admission to the B.Tech. in Biotechnology course at HITS is as follows:
- Candidates with 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biotechnology, or related fields from a recognised board are eligible.
- Selection is based on WBJEE / JEE (Main) scores.
For lateral entry into the 2nd year of the B.Tech. program, candidates with a Diploma in Engineering are eligible, and selection is based on JELET scores.
